About me
Hello, I'm Skylar Masson. I am a Software Engineer and Game Developer who loves writing code to create various amounts of Games, Mobile Apps, Windows Apps, and many different Software Applications.
I recently graduated with my B.S in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Application Development. Prior to that I graduated with my A.A.S in Computer Information Technology with a concentration in Programming. In 2018, I graduated from Digital Media Institute with a Certificate in Interactive Software Development where we focused on the Unity3D engine and C# creating a few different games in select genre's. Throughout my time in school, I learned secure programming principles, data structures, different design concepts, programming paradigms, and object-oriented programming with multiple languages on different platforms.
I strive to be a great programmer and want to learn as much as possible!

GRC Tool for GDIT
This is a prototype system for Authority to Operate as a Service (ATOaaS). The goal is to help automate Federal Risk Management Frameworks.
Work
Software Engineer intern - Dollar General
- Worked as part of a scrum team using agile development methodology.
- Used ASP.NET and Blazor framework to perform data collection and validation.
- Used Power Apps and Automate to create an ETL tool to merge data in SQL Server saving engineers 100% of time.
- Created SQL stored procedures for automated tasks that send data from one database to another.
Tech II - Technology Projects - John P. Holt Library
- Developing, testing, and improving the front-end for Library’s website rebranding for over 100+ weekly users.
- Working closely with marketing and committees to incorporate brand elements and relevant library content.
- Creating products that are user-friendly, effective and appealing using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Maintaining the website with over 60 pages using content management systems such as Granicus.
- Creating and pulling reports from the library database using SQL.
- Use site improvement for Quality Assurance reports to maintain high quality website features.
